Still use it?

The reason I ask is because I still have mine from my prereqs but now that I am starting the actual nursing program on Aug 18 and I've heard to keep the book for future reference but do you REALLY still use it a lot ... or no?

If not, I'm selling it - could use the money for more books!

Thanks!:yeah:

never used it throughout nursing school. Wish I would have sold it.

I haven't opened mine in more than two years but I plan on revisiting it again in the next couple weeks to brush up on acid base balance. That stuff is coming back to haunt me in August (Med-Surge I class) and I never quite grasped it while in A&P.

I would think that your med-surge book probably has better detail than your A&P book. I've also found my Saunders NCLEX book has good info on acid/base balance.

I kept all my prereq books, and I have yet to refer back to A&P. chem, or micro. I graduate in August. I wish I would have sold them when that edition was still being used. I do occasionally use my nutrition book and my developmental psych book for care plans, but they aren't necessary since as others have said, all info is available online. Buying an older version is a great idea if you decide you need the reference later.

I used mine as reference for normal vs. patho on my careplans because ours required 3 books minimum so even tho all my info was available in the med/surg & tabers, I needed that 3rd reference lol other than that the only time it gets opened is when my kids get bored and start reading through it
