Young Nursing Students

Nursing Students General Students

We here all about nursing students who are going back to school and making nursing a second career for themselfs. I have a HUGE respect for these ladies and gents'!

What about us young nursing students? I think we have our own set of trials to go through. I am the youngest student in my college (pre-reqs) (due to awesome high school early admission). I do not look that young for my age but when people here I want to be a nurse they are very surprised!

Whats your story?

I am 19 and i am applying to nursing school soon, i started college at 17 but i was going for pre-pharm so i loaded up on chem and other bio classes that were not pre-reqs for nursing but i am hoping to grad in 2012 hopefully.....yay! for young nurses....

You know, maturity isn't always tied to age. I'll admit that sometimes I'll see a (not even that) young poster post something really silly and naive, and blame it on the age, but then I'll see older nurses post silly things too and then good lord- 16 and bounced back from a tough life AND graduated early?- and it reminds me that everyone grows up at a different rate. I was pretty darn immature at 25 but have changed pretty radically (I like to think anyway) in the last 3 years.

Good for all of you for going after your dreams and be proud of what you've accomplished!
