You WILL pass w THESE tips RN in 75

Published

I wanted to help all those who wanted tips. Good luck and God Bless :)

I passed and so excited to share !!

RN nclex passed yesterday @ 8am with 75 questions!

Here is how I did it :

Bought NCSBN 3 week one and did all qbanks (read and understand ALL rationals)

look up what you don't understand.

La Charity Priority Book (about 5 chapters) really helps, ( I didn't do case studies)

Memorized labs

NCLEX RN Illustrated Book, w questions online. did as many questions as I could.

Know infection control

I studied for about a full month. 5-6 days a week . 6 hours day. 150 questions a day on average. ( I would drop son at school, go to my college lib and stay until it was time to pick him up)

Sat was a light day with 50 questions and thats it. (at home)

2 days before test I did 200 questions on each day at lib. stopped at 530 pm. I was fried. some peeps take day before off , what ever you feel works best.

Prayed, Meditated daily and watched "the secret",visualized myself in testing room passing, wrote my name with RN in journal. wrote in a journal daily.

Do a quick drive of the testing center a week before, go in and check it out. Talk to check in people to see the "order" of things. Helps !!

TEST Day: Breakfast of egg, spinach, ham sandwich on whole wheat toast. Milk, no coffee (for me no caffeine before a test helps). Left with enough time in case of traffic. I arrived about one hour sat in my car to review labs only. Prayed before test. Believed in myself. Leave cell phone in car!

I covered time and question #s the whole time. Took my own break at 50. Bathroom, Water, breathing, and more prayer.

Started again, I checked where I was about 2x) at 68 I didn't check anymore and figured okay about ten more...and BOOM screen shut off. I left scared, sick to my tummy. (nerves)

Results of my passing today at 1230.

Stay positive, stick to reading only positive posts here always to inspire. Read motivation quotes, pick one and read it daily before you study and test.

Good luck to you all ,

Please stay positive, always BELIEVE in yourself,

If I can do it, You can def, do it !

YOU GOT THIS!

Hello. I took my NCLEX RN yesterday and shut off at 76 questions. I had a lot of SATA (15 or more I guess but not sure), 4-5 drag and drop, 1 ECG, 1 Exhibit, the rest are who would you see first and some are so easy questions. I don't know. I don't find my exam getting harder. It's weird and I'm freaking out right now. I tried to look up my answers after the test and most of it were right. Some are not sure 'coz I can't remember the exact questions and answer choices to weigh which is which. Why did my test shut off at at 76 and not in 75 if I am above the passing standard? This waiting game is blowing my mind off!!!! I can't even enjoy the long weekend and I hate it. LOL! :dead:

And to the author of this post, how did you find out your results in less than 48hours?

Please I need an answers. I'm getting crazy. I'm afraid to try the PVT!!!! :(

Congratulations 915 Nurse

Thank you for congrats...

Its a computer, so maybe it did a "hicupp" and didn't turn off at 75?? I am sure you will be fine, you sound confident about test itself.

to answer your question : I checked AZ BON Friday (next day) all morning from 7am - 1230 and they posted an update at around 1235 . It says date 2/12/15- Passed NCLEX RN.

no license # posted yet tho, I am assuming it will be there by next week sometime.

Best of luck!!

Congratulations! not everything works for everyone though, to other test takers, this is a great plan, but not the ONLY one that works!

Thank you :roflmao:

To other test takers : What I did to pass in 75, my goal , it CAN be done in 200+ questions too tho. I had people in my class who used Kaplan and went all the whole test, and those of us who Bought the NCSBN , most finished in 75 .. :) Not sure why...no worries,

As long as we ALL get there, won't matter how.

No body will ask us at our job interviews how many questions it took us.

I am so glad it is over :) GOOD LUCK TO ALL

YaY !!

After the test I felt happy it ended soon. First 50 Qs I was confident I was gonna shut off at 75 but then after 65 Q I started doubting myself and hoping not to shut off at 75 and it didn't. After 76 Q I was shocked it shuts off. My 73Q was a drag and drop. My last question 76 I know I got it wrong coz I did some research on it that's why I'm getting crazy. Im in NY btw. Please help!!! Does anybody shuts off at 76Q and got the last question wrong but still passed? Enlighten me coz I'm really going nuts right now. I felt like the questions asked to me were below passing standard coz it's too basic. My SATA were like BSE, TSE, ICD, Leukemia Infection Ctrl, HBV Risk, Alternative Restraints. Drag and drops were only basic procedures like Z track IM, going down the stairs with cane, turning the patient on bed. The rest were who would you see first, return the phone call first, assess first, high risk for complications. Had meds which I know for sure thank God!!! I felt okay yesterday but not today. Is there anyone fails with 76Q with lots of Alt Format Q? During the test I had 3-4 consecutives SATA. SATA then prioritization then SATA again then SATA then Drag Drop. After 50 Q I didn't get any SATA anymore. Does that mean I drag my score down the line? I'm getting crazy!!!! LOL. Sorry if this is too long. I just need to vent out this anxiety!! This is my 3rd attempt thats why I'm afraid to fail again. I dont want to do this anymore!! First 2 attempts with dreadful 265 Q both 1 above, 1 below the rest were near the passing. Please!! Give me some hopeful comments but factual though. Lol! Thanks.

Update: Got my quickresults and I Passed with 76Q!!!!!!! PVT worked for me as well.
