18 years dream come true

first of all thanks to god for all the blessings without him im nothing.i was dreaming of writing this topic for a long long time ,now i fulfilled that dream. i have passed my nclex rn exam after taking it for the 3rd time last jan.27,2012:cheers:. with 75 questions.and i want to share with you how this time around make this happened.i failed 2x already way back in 2008 and that sets me into depression because my expectation was very high i thought i nailed it.im a registered nurse here in uk and been practicing as one since 1994 where i graduated from bsn.,been assigned to middle east, south east asia, but my dream of working in america :nurse:was always my frustration until today when i finally saw my name in board of nursing list.and i promised god and myself i will share my story to let people know if they have a dream,, and pursue it hard it will happened with strong faith and determination nothing is imposible.

nclex is not hard you need to respect it.back in 2008 i totally did not respect it..:banghead:. i thought this is a walk in the park as i always do at any given exam,my wife passed her ,,easy,,and told my self i could do better i was wrong 2x i failed why//??heres my theory1) i was answering it base on my personal experienced as a nurse in the hospital settings.nclex is a real world where everything are available for you.2) pain,,, when i see pain thats the answer...at maslow that is the 3rd needs when in comes answering nclex.but in the hospital thats your goal to alleviate them3) respect nclex,, which i did not,,i didnt even review and totally relied on my stock knowledge and skills.again wronggggggggg!!!!what did i do,,i studied for whole 6 months....yes 6 monthsss i enrolled to kaplan online so that i can submit to my board of nursing.because that was my 3rd attempt iwas required to take a course and submit them with certificate and overall score.i did really well with my kaplan my score was ranging form 60-70% and there i realized my mistakes and admit depeat since then bowed to do differently this time.

i work full time as a senior staff nurse in one of the orthopedic govt hosp. in london,i have 2 toddler .so getting a good time to review was almost imposiible.i reviewed at workat least every night when im on duty and answer at least 50-60 question in nclex 3500.ihave downloaded some saunders & mosby qbanks in my iphone so i can do it when i was on the train or when i was waiting for my kids from school.i also make sure i spend some time at an.and see what other nclex takers feel and their strategy how they succeed and failed.i also used lacharity this book is amazing..i had tons of who to see ist and i thought lacharity help me dealwith that qs, i also have hurst review which unbelievable,, how they disects the info...and trust it stayed on my old brain.thanks to kazza.i also have the nclex 101 by sylvia rayfield &loretta manning(4th edition 2008 theres is a new edition out i think)in which in 2008 when i did the simulation test i have a score of 80 out of 120 qs,, but this time around my score was 95/120,which are the massive improvement.i also did the 3 weeks ncsbn on my final 3 weeks preparation and just answer qbanks in the morning and hurst video at night.if you have facebook or anything similar deactivate. you can always get it back once your done and passed. secondly. answer qbanks in the time you are more likely full of energy and stick with it. when you scheduled your test try and get the time similar to your qbanks method time. my review materialskaplanhurst(cant post here due to copyright legality)lacharityallnurses nclex threadnclex rn 101 4th editionncsbn 3 weeks(in the last 3 weeks before taking the test qbanks only)mosby,saunders,..qbanks in my iphonekaplan medication/pharmacology in my iphonei hope this will help other to gain success in nclex rn /pn test.i would like to thank allnurses.com you guys are amazingand my old pal>>>keep smiling great guyand kazza thanks mate your an angel.and most of all thanks to god.i f i can be of any help to you guys pls feel free to send me a message i would love to help you out.heres some of the link you may find usefullnclex 4000 link. http://www.mediafire.com/?bdqs3a8zm4y85dhnclex 3500 linkhttp://nursing.slcc.edu/nclexrn3500/mainmenu.do;jsessionid=c36398abe4b0455e2b2ef8c91ad18595kaplan q trainers 2-7 linkhttp://www.slideshare.net/thinkrn/kaplan-nclex-sample-exam-2allnurses nclex thread

Hi there,First of all, CONGRATULATION.I am praying that God will also help me. I have lost $700 so far toward Kaplan, and as I was tackling through the questions, I gave up since I did not know why that answer to the question was correct. Kaplan just give you the answer with little explanation of why they picked that answer. After I studied for this exam I became more confused and stressed out. I just read your perspective on how to pass the exam. I have one instructore who is asking for $650 for 8 sessions for 4 hours. I am hesitant. She said not to purchase any books, is all waste of money, and she guarantee to help me pass the exam. Any advice?
That's too much. I don't guarantee you anything, but you need to guarantee your self to study for at least 4-6 weeks. I have the materials if u need it. It's for free. And I can suggest to you what are the areas that you need to work on. It took me 3tries before I nailed nclex and now I know why I fail the last 2times.and I can share it to you.

I have no privilege to pm, that's why I can't reply your message. My email address: [email protected]

Thanks.

Can you also send me the nclex materials. Email address is [email protected]. Thanks.

IF U CAN, PLEASE SHARE WITH ME THE MATERIALS TO PASS NCLEX!! MY EMAIL IS [email protected] thanks abunch!! once again CONGRATS!!!
