Yeah, I was very tired...

I just wanted to share something humorous.

Background: Just graduated N. School and am awaiting to nclex-rn two days from now. Recently employeed as a Sr. Nrsg Tech. with a bunch of great people on a cardiology unit.

After my first twelve hour day, I was using the bathroom, and instead of flushing the toilet (via the little button) I pressed the soap dispenser...

I am also finding myself knocking on doors, that need not be knocked upon, prior to entering, such as the supply room.

Being a nurse sure is hard work!

Oh, honey - it only gets worse!!:chuckle :chuckle

Specializes in Geriatrics/Alzheimer's.

I use to do that when I worked the night shift....You need some rest dear.

Today I had a interniew at a local nursing home and the administrator that was taking me on a tour was knocking on all the doors. I found this sort of funny since we were in a new altzheimers lockdown unit that is supposed to open in 3 weeks and has no residents. She stated she had been up all night. :monkeydance:

several months ago i had worked a 16 hour shift in the er {very, very busy night} stopped at my usual gas station on the way home and proceeded to drive right back to work, get out of the car and walk in and punch in. i still haven't lived that one down.:zzzzz

Debbyed. Very hilarious!

As for me I just passed boards so... Let the knocking begin!

(Like how I was all like, "your thing was funny but now back to me..." ;)

Do you find yourselves knocking on doors when EXITING the room????? Yep, done it. LOL

Or pushing the pull door and vice versa?

On my day off I go to see Mama and the "car" automatically headed to the hospital.

Or get dressed and pull on a scrub top instead of a t-shirt, again on the day off.
