So some of you may recall in May of 2007 that my wonderful, WONDERFUL hospital Ladies Board gave me a most excellent gift: a $3000 scholarship to help pay for school with EC. That gift virtually removed all financial obstacles preventing me from moving as quickly as I wanted to, and I am forever grateful to them for it.
Fast forward to last month, when I remembered, hey, the Ladies Board still does scholarships, and I'm still a student! So I applied for a scholarship with them again (making the deadline by only 2 days, yikes), and guess what? I got my letter in the mail yesterday -- they're giving me $1800! YAY!!! I'm so excited. That will cover a class, with some left over for part of another. I was stressing about how I was going to cover some of the remainder of my classes this year. I refuse to get a student loan, so anything not reimbursed by my employer comes out of my pocket, which has way more lint than $$$ in it.

Congratulations! Have you applied for an ENA scholarship? If not, you should check it out on their website.
Ooooh, I haven't! Thanks for the suggestion -- I just joined the ENA in March. :)
Edited to add: I won't qualify this year -- I have to have been a member for 12 months prior to application. Oh well! Thanks anyway -- I'll do it next year!

Please. Couldn't have happened to anyone more deserving than you. I have no doubt you'll get more rewards than you know what to do with in your life.

Lunah, a person like you deserves to have an award coming with all the hard work you put in along with the good grades you have received. And the character that has been built in you helping other people proves you to have what a true nurse is. I thank you for all as well. :) You truly deserve what is handed to you. :lttang:
