Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Yale's GEPN program for the fall 2023 start.
Feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions and offer guidance and support to other candidates. Please be respectful and kind and remember that this is a long, exhausting, expensive, stressful journey for lots of people. Let's do our best to uplift and help each other. Good luck!
somehow I'm more at ease, but I think it's because I've already heard back from two other programs that I've applied to! of course, I think I'll be sitting on edge once I receive an email about any updates in the portal! fingers crossed everyone and I hope you will all receive the results you want!!

For anyone looking to apply to DE programs this year, I recommend treating it more like medical school than nursing school. Research the programs, apply broadly, and know that ultimately, these programs should want you as much as you want to go! Accumulate as many admissions options as you can (and that you can afford to apply to). You'd be surprised how far down wait lists go, and how flexible a program can be for aid.
This is really valuable information. Thank you so much.

Same here. Having already accepted one offer makes it slightly less stressful in the event things don't work out with Yale.
I am also likely going to go to a different school if I do not get substantial merit aid or the community scholars scholarship. STILL, I am just so ready to have a decision made so I can fully get excited for whatever school I decide.
I remember hearing that we would find out about the community scholarship in our letter of admission; can anyone verify this?

There were only a total of 5 of the Community Scholars, right?
Hey,
Long time lurker, first time poster
I applied and interviewed this year for GEPN/FNP. Not to create too much chaos, but my interviewer told me that the university wants to have decisions out by 2/1, but my interviewer also cautioned that decisions might go out as late as the end of the first week of February depending on how things go. Not sure if anyone else heard something similar. Also, I attended an info session pretty close to the original application deadline and they said admission decisions would go out between early and mid February.
IDK, but I do hope we hear tomorrow. Goodluck everyone
(also posting because YSNs emails go to my junk mail as well)
