Hello everyone! This thread is for folks applying to Yale's GEPN program for the fall 2023 start.
Feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions and offer guidance and support to other candidates. Please be respectful and kind and remember that this is a long, exhausting, expensive, stressful journey for lots of people. Let's do our best to uplift and help each other. Good luck!
I am busy with my life at this time, but this anxiety about Yale pops up one or two times during the day...?
Yale should be my top choice. I am still in the process of applying to Upenn, as they close their application process on Feb.1st, which is probably before Yale releases their decisions...
I am so antsy waiting as well! Counting down the days even though we don't have a confirmation that it will be Feb. 1 ...
On another note, is anyone having concerns about MSN vs. DNP? I know about the rumors that NPs will soon be required to have DNPs but I'm not too sure how accurate those claims are (especially since I want to be practicing in Cali post degree). Personally, I would like to go back to school and finish all of the education needed.

I went to a Yale info session and someone brought this up and the people leading it (I honestly don't remember who) said that the rumors have been going on for years and there hasn't been much progress to make them official so it shouldn't be a big worry.

Honestly their websites are so confusing! I agree with @allcare2allppl because Yale seems to be the most upfront with their costs. It seems like it comes in at $170k for the whole program. I am a bit concerned with other schools like UPENN and Columbia because their programs seem to be 80K-100K/year, but I might be getting that wrong.
