YALE GEPN 2022

Published

Hi everyone! Wanted to start this conversation for those who are getting ready to apply once the application opens on June 1st 2021.

I am hoping we can all share information, ask questions, and support each other throughout the exciting journey ahead!

Does anyone think it's possible to ask for an extension on the acceptance deadline? I am still waiting on Vanderbilt. Due to Yale's deadline, I think I will only have a couple of days to make a choice if I get in.

Did it lay out total cost of attendance? If so, can someone say how much it states? I messed up and didn’t submit want to know the ball park range of what it will be

It gave only the first year. It said $100,000 for tuition, fees and COL.

Wow. So it’ll be over 200 I’m assuming with the additional two years….

Hi! I am a current GEPN student and last year, I was deciding between UPenn, Columbia, and Yale. If you have any questions about my experience thus far or how I decided on Yale, feel free to DM me!

Are you nervous about your debt?

Would you be open to sending me your phone number via my email? [email protected]. We have a couple of people on a group chat who would love to hear your experiences and ask questions on how you decided

At the moment, I don't think I am comfortable enough to send my phone number out but feel free to message me personally on here instead with any questions!

I’m not able to send private messages on here for some reason? But I’m choosing between yale and UPenn and would love to hear your reasons for choosing yale

Also would love to hear about how you chose Yale over UPenn! Which specialty are you in after the GEPN year?

I ultimately chose Yale because it was the more affordable option. Even though UPenn offered me more scholarship, the total came out to still be more than Yale. Additionally, I know for UPenn that after you receive your BSN, you have to gain 1 semester worth of healthcare experience before starting the master's portion, making it a 3.5 year program instead of 3 years like Yale.
