Yale GEPN 2016

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Published

Hi all!

I didn't see a Yale GEPN 2016 thread, so I thought it would be good to start one! Does anyone know the average GPA and GRE score for the 2015 entering class?

Did not get an interview either.....I guess it was not meant to be, hopefully better news from the other schools. Good luck to everyone else ;)

No interview here either... But as you've all noted, there's a purpose in everything and it seems Yale just wasn't a good fit for us. Wishing everyone still in the running all the best as you prepare for your interviews!

Didn't get in... I'm a little bit heartbroken because I truly connected with Yale and their mission resonated with me so much. If I don't get in somewhere else this year, I will try again for Yale next year, or perhaps, as an MSN student after getting a BSN somewhere else.

Sorry, guys. :( You will find your place--I really believe that. Onward and upward!

Hey Gang,

Looking forward to meeting all of you at some point soon. Im trying to get linked up to help out at interview day. Let me know if you have any questions. And for everyone that did not get asked to interview keep your chin up. I only got into half of the school that i applied to, i am sure you are all amazing people!!!

Dear Jennifer Aniston...

Hi everyone! I received an interview invite (FNP) and was wondering if any current GEPN students could answer this -- would a phone interview vs an in-person one hurt me at all? Were any of you or your current classmates accepted after doing a phone interview?

I really would love to visit the campus but I'm balking at the prices for flights and lodging.

Congrats!!!! I was in a very similar place last year. My take is if you have the option of interviewing in person do it. That said my roommate did a phone interview and got in. I think getting the chance to go to interview day was really informative and it is as much an oppertunity for you to get to find out about the program and ask questions as it is for them to interview you.

I'm in the same position, so excited to have an interview but so intimidated by all the flight prices (I would be coming from the Bay Area). Thankfully, flying into JFK is much cheaper, but I don't know how confident I am driving in the possible snow.

Congrats to all who got interview invitations, and for those who didn't, don't give up from here!!!

You could easily take a train from NYC (grand central or penn station) to Yale as an alternative to driving!

@Mammal: Yeah a huge pro I'm considering is those info sessions on interview day. I'll have to keep thinking on this... thank you for your advice!

emmafleur18, I'm from the Bay Area too!

I came out from Oakland for the interview, i don't know about the other specialties but FNP had a potluck at a 1st year specialty students house with just students, it was really nice.
