Xavier University ABSN Fall 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Good Day All!!

I wanted to starter this thread as I am curious how many of you are applying, would like to apply, or are waiting for the emissions decision to the ABSN program at Xavier University.

I recently received my acceptance letter, and I am still deciding which school to choose.

Any previous students from this university, could you give some feedback about this program? I heard it was mainly online, I never really studied like this I usually had the in person lectures.

I am looking forward to any feedback you guys could give me, to help me make my decision.

Best,

FutureScrubNurse

Update: I just got my acceptance call today! It took 10 days to hear back. :)

Also looking for the Fall 2019 cohort Facebook group to find a potential roommate. Does anyone know the name? Or has it even been created yet? I will make one if there's isn't one already established.

Specializes in ICU.

Did anyone apply to the one in Columbus? I'm considering that location but I'm worried because it's new.

I have applied for the fall 2019 absn program! If I get accepted I’ll be coming from Texas! So that will be a very big change lol. I had a previous degree in public health so I basically already had the pre-reqs they required. My stats were i had all A’s in microbiology, a&p1 and a&p2, and a B in statistics. My gpa is 3.3. Good luck to everyone applying ?

That's great I will be moving from New York ? let us know if you get in!!!

I sure will!! ?

Just got my acceptance email! I’m in! Yay!!! ?

Those of you who have been accepted and plan on attending, how do you plan on paying for it? I heard that Xavier's program is really expensive $60,000. Is the program worth it?

I got accepted and I start the program in about 2 weeks! I used fafas and qualified for $10,000 for the entire year for fall and spring split in half. Then my remaining balance was about $6,000 and I took a Loan out to cover the remaining. We’re all more than likely going to be in debt but it’s better to get your degree, get it over with since it’s only 16 months and get a good nursing job and pay your loans. Espically since it’s a second degree 99% of students take out loans. Hopefully that helps!

Hi all! I just made a facebook group for the fall / august absn 2019 cohort since I couldn't find one that was created already. If there's one already made please let me know! If not, then just search "Xavier University ABSN Fall 2019 Cohort" in facebook groups and join ?

Thanks!

Thank you for providing this information. If you don't mind me asking, you only had to take out $6,000? That's not bad at all! Isn't the cost around $60,000? How did you cover the rest minus $16,000 if you don't mind me asking?
