Xavier College School of Nursing, Stockton ADN Spring 2022 Applicants

Updated:   Published

Hi! Just wanted to create a forum for the students who just finished their apps and HESI exam for Xavier College School of Nursing for their newish ADN program so there's a place to talk and gather! I applied for their entry program (so not LVN bridge) and finished taking the HESI exam (scored really well so happy about that)! I heard there was an interview portion for selected students and I'm prepping all my medical documents right now. Does anyone know the start date for the first semester?

I found out I didn’t get accepted but still waiting as an alternate. Im wondering what are the chances of alternates getting in. I’ll probably take one more pre-req while I wait for next year cohorts.

When was their application period? I completely forgot about this school because I've been super focused with Delta college's ADN program.

Making an anon burner account. I don't recommend this school. I was in one of the cohorts and this place is wildly unprofessional. They change the schedules for lecture and labs and clinicals all the time but blame you if you miss anything. Clinical hours are not a choice, some classes are morning with a 6:30 start and some are night. The staff are very nepotistic and will gaslight you for any mistake they make into your fault.

The program director, school staff and lecturers are all family members. Clinical sites are run by family with family members as staff. It's awful because lots of mistakes slide under the table as a family run business, and the students are treated unfairly; not like actual paying students for a school but more like free CNAs with extra steps.

Thanks for the insight! Im sure this will help a lot of students.

Hi Jenny K, I am looking into xavier college for their RN program. Was it the RN program cohort you were in that was not good or was it the LVN program?

RN program. The LVN program students are more favored by the school but it's still a lot of the same issues from what I can tell. The cohort students are fine, it's more of a staffing issue and management problem. They switch dates last minute, add new mandatory dates and requirements, and never ever tell you anything ahead of time. Actually, they don't bother updating most students and you have to hear everything through word of mouth. Everyone is afraid to say anything and valid questions (not even critism) is met with hostility. You will be gaslit, demeaned, made to feel stupid, and more. My cohort (now done) would not recommend this school and seeing glimpses of the current cohort, they also seem unhappy.

I heard from the current studets that students that can't pass a class are replaced by LVN students as bridge students this year. I had to make this anon burner account because the school director is the type of person to retaliate, maybe rescind degrees. Remember, Xavier College is a private nursing school run by nepotism, all family members. The rotating clinic sites are also run by family. I would recommend anywhere else to go to nursing school.

Heyo part of the new group! I can't really say much because I'm still in school but just finished the first fundamental clinicals. All I can say is I would really consider each school carefully. I ended up here cause of location. PM me mb?

Hi Plas, Is the clinical and theory time the same as in the course catalog on their website?

Hi Jenny, I noticed that their cohort is small like 10 to 12 students they choose for their RN program.  For the schedule for clinical and theory is it not the same as their catalog on their website? Thanks for the insight on the program, and letting us know.
