Hey! So, one person I know I believe had around a 3.4/3.5 and got in with a TEAS around 80. She also went to a school in eastern WA so I believe that they give priority to students from affiliating colleges. And was a CNA before.
Another one had a GPA I believe between 3.3-3.5 and got in with a TEAS in the low 70s. She also had only ever been a volunteer, and didn't have her CNA credentials.
Before I went to WSU about 3 years ago, my cum was about 3.65, and my original TEAS was a 74. I was offered an interview as a transfer student but didn't take it.
3 years later, my cumulative GPA is a 3.8. I got a 88 on my TEAS, and I graduated from there so it may help.
I think there is no way to 100% know. Every cohort is different. With what I know about going to WSU is, it's an awesome university, and I've heard so many good things about their nursing program. I think they try to evaluate everyone as fair as possible.
Have you considered retaking some classes? It might make a huge difference GPA wise. Or would you consider taking classes at WSU for a semester if you don't get in this cohort, and re-applying if it doesn't work out?
When I took A&P to get my Associate degree, I did alright. I got like a B+ for 1 and a C+ for A&P 2. However, WSU splits up Anatomy and Physiology into two different classes and when I took them there I got As so I just use that. It's nice because they override my old grades and I don't have to average them out since they're technically different classes.
I was going to. But decided I would rather apply to YVCC instead as back up since it's closer to where I live!
