Never mind- I have not had enough coffee yet....

Hey! I think you have some nice stats!!! I have had friends with lower grades/low TEAS scores still get in, and are/will be great nurses!! I applied to WSU since I graduated from there but I'm very hopeful for an ADN program to save money!

@Ptntcrgvr do you know what TEAS score they scored and what kind of cum gpa they had to get into wsu?

Hey! So, one person I know I believe had around a 3.4/3.5 and got in with a TEAS around 80. She also went to a school in eastern WA so I believe that they give priority to students from affiliating colleges. And was a CNA before.

Another one had a GPA I believe between 3.3-3.5 and got in with a TEAS in the low 70s. She also had only ever been a volunteer, and didn't have her CNA credentials.

Before I went to WSU about 3 years ago, my cum was about 3.65, and my original TEAS was a 74. I was offered an interview as a transfer student but didn't take it.

3 years later, my cumulative GPA is a 3.8. I got a 88 on my TEAS, and I graduated from there so it may help.

I think there is no way to 100% know. Every cohort is different. With what I know about going to WSU is, it's an awesome university, and I've heard so many good things about their nursing program. I think they try to evaluate everyone as fair as possible.

Thank you so much! Just curious, which campus did you apply for?

I applied for Spokane!! Where did you apply?

I applied for Tri-cities! This is my second time applying for this campus :(

Have you applied to the ADN program at Columbia Basin? What're your grades/TEAS like? I'm sure applying a second time is good, and shows you are dedicated!!

I haven't! I'll look into it though!

My grades are like a 3.3 cum and a 3.2 for prereq, it's pretty low eh.. TEAS i got a 73.6%, idk if thats good or bad. What about you?

Have you considered retaking some classes? It might make a huge difference GPA wise. Or would you consider taking classes at WSU for a semester if you don't get in this cohort, and re-applying if it doesn't work out?

When I took A&P to get my Associate degree, I did alright. I got like a B+ for 1 and a C+ for A&P 2. However, WSU splits up Anatomy and Physiology into two different classes and when I took them there I got As so I just use that. It's nice because they override my old grades and I don't have to average them out since they're technically different classes.

I was going to. But decided I would rather apply to YVCC instead as back up since it's closer to where I live!

I retook two classes but since i'm applying for SU as well, i can't retake anymore because they have a limit on retakes... pretty much stuck between wanting to retake classes to boost my gpa but wanting more school options
