  1. I would recommend you to apply for Spokane. Yakima has only 1 hospital for med-surg rotation(!), but they have a new campus and much more organized compared to Tri-cities. Tri-cities has more hospitals for rotations, but very unorganized and their clinical instructors usually leave after each semester!
  2. Hello Silotolis, I did have a plan like you (major in Biology, did sequences of gen chem, bio and then would go for medical school). However, I changed my mind. I did not apply to UW, but if I was you I would + volunteer more and start working as CNA as soon as you can (I believe UW asks for 100+ hours of volunteering, but ofcourse most applicants have more.) + look for nurses that could give you a GREAT recommendation letters + aim for as high Gpas as you could + have a back up plan? + start to work on your personal statement? + and do more reading on here too! A friend of mine who got in got 3.8 Nursing Gpas, 3.6 Cumm Gpas, 500+ hrs volunteering, 800+ hrs CNAs. 2 RNs gave her great recommendations. Her proctored test went well. This doesn't mean you will need to have all of these. However, UW is competitive and you will have to be one of the best! Good luck!
  3. Congrats guys! I got into Yakima WSU as well!!!
  4. Hello here as well, My friends are currently studying there now. They don't really like it. Compared to Shoreline, it's much worse. The teachers seem new or lack of teaching experience. My Shoreline friends know much more in their first quarter compared to 2nd quarter LAKE students.
  5. Hi Ptntcrgvr, I forgot what I was saying and there was the moment I stopped talking because I did not know what to say. Did you apply for Yakima too? What questions did they ask you?
  6. Hello, I had my invitation on March 13th and my interview was on the 30th. @ptntcrgvr, @stephaniek1: I hope you two don't lose hope. This is my first time applying and my interview did not go so well. Some of the students applied 3 or more times! They fixed their GPAs, added CNA experience, or completed a Bachelor and then apply again. Please please don't be too discouraged and I wish you all the best! My questions were in about 15 minutes with 2 instructors in Yakima campus. 1- First quarter of nursing school will be heavy (17 credits), how will you manage that? 2- What are personalities and characteristics of a good nurse? 3- What makes you the best candidate for this program? 4- I do not remember this one... 5- Do you have any questions for us?
  7. Hello everyone, Just wondering if anyone on here applied for BSN program for Fall 2018? Derek
