Let's start this 2020 application cycle thread. Anyone will be applying this Summer?

Hello!! 

The waiting for whether we got into the program or not is killing me! I've gotten an acceptance letter from the school but no news on the program, does anyone know the approximate date of when we will find out?

The forum from last year suggested we won’t see responses until late October. Also I definitely accepted my enrollment to WSSU. ??‍♀️
 

lastly, did you send in official SAT/ACT scores? I sent a screenshot and happened to email one of the nursing advisors about my scores last week. Luckily she responded and ask me to resubmit but they didn’t receive my scores. Not sure if my screenshot was just not sufficient...I saw someone from last year sent official scores to the school and didn’t get in because they needed to have sent the scores to the nursing department. But that’s not an option on college board.... so I’m being hyper-vigilant about this.

I sent in my official SAT scores at first, and then realized I had messed up! Luckily I caught that about a month ago, and was able to get in touch with someone in the nursing department and send my scores and begged to see if they would still count that. Fingers crossed!! I think you will be okay if you got in touch with someone though ?

Hey there I’m in the N19 class although we didn’t have to submit online we could mail or physical deliver out packets last year, I printed mine off and placed my scores with my application packet

Thanks for your response! I haven't taken the ACT since I did the first time in 2011 so I was panicking on how I could get my score as every time I tried to call they disconnected my call due to high volumes from COVID. I ended up finding my score on my high school transcript and sent that in, hopefully that will be enough, the lady said it worked for them! I did absolutely terrible on the ACT the first time around so I wanted to retake it and rescheduled both ACT and SAT but both dates got canceled! It's been a mes and I've been a bigger anxiety filled mess!

Im sure it will be fine! ❤️ But yes... this is so anxiety inducing!

I was able to send in something and they said it worked! I just sent a screenshot of the page with one of my test.

 

FYI!! If you feel like you have anything missing, -------------------- said this is the last week she is accepting additional info.

Greetings yall!

I have been wanting to apply to WSSU ABSN forever! I finally applied! I am so excited, and nervous, and proud of myself for taking this step. I am proud of all of you for applying! I hope that we all get in!

I received an email from ------------------- yesterday stating that they were still in the process of choosing students, and that we should have an acceptance or a denial via email next Friday.

Did everybody get this email?

I have one more question. In the application, it mentions a lower division nursing course and the prerequisites. What nursing course is it talking about? I definitely have not taken any nursing courses.

Does anybody have any suggestions about scholarships or loans? I've read conflicting information about FAFSA. It says on the website it could cover 45 credits of second degree bachelor's, but when I applied it says I can't get anything, because I have a degree, and am applying for second degree. It says the school will have to send me financial aid, if they have any. I honestly don't understand any of it.

I got this email too! Seeing an email from her made my heart drop, I felt like it took 30 minutes to recover LOL. I just wish we knew already!
