WSSU ABSN 2021 Start

Hi current ABSN students....hoping some of y’all can help me. I am currently wrapping up my prerequisites, and I’m not doing bad, but definitely not as good as I had hoped, and it’s looking like both Anatomy classes will be Bs as opposed to As.

My undergrad is great, SAT scores were great. That being said, did anyone else get accepted with Bs as both anatomy grades? My Chemistry was an A, statistics will be an A, and Microbiology will likely be a B as well.

Appreciate ANY feedback.

Hi Monica,

I see you are interested in going ABSN. Me too... I tried to contact WSSU and they would never return my phone calls. I was planning on applying to A&T this Fall, but then I found out that Elon University is opening an ABSN program this Fall. I just had my interview yesterday. The deadline for applications was June 1st but they are extending it until July 15. Just thought I would put that out there. I was not aware until about 2 weeks ago that it was being offered, and the application process is very quick and easy. You do not have to have SAT or be on NC CNA registery. They said with the small amount of applicants there will be no waiting list or anything like that, and there will be a small class this year. Once word gets out next year there will def be a waiting list...now is the time to apply.... go to their website and check it out...

Did anyone buy an iPad to take notes on? I know some programs require it and I start this Jan and didn’t know if this one does.

Hi, the iPad is not required. Some of my classmates had one, but majority didn't seem to have one. I didn't either and didn't feel like I needed it. For the tests, a laptop is definitely recommend over a tablet or a Chromebook, because there are often some technical difficulties with those and wssu system.
