Hello all,

Let's start this 2020 application cycle thread. Anyone will be applying this Summer?

Aweee hahah & Hopefully things won’t be too bad with COVID! That’s what I’m eager about the most upon acceptance.

It's actually not too bad.  The good thing was we all got to meet each other and form some bonds and establish some relationships prior to being pulled away from each other. So when we went online for classes we vented to each other and found ways to work things out amongst each other.  We all get along well and we've stuck in there together with all the changes (which is really needed).  We literally just go the opportunity to have face to face clinical again.  I think we've all had our fair share of doing "unnecessary paperwork" as we call it and simulated activities but COVID has been a double edge sword.  The previous cohorts had clinical, class work for the Summer time on top of assignments and for us all online was a blessing in disguise.

Well that’s really great to hear and makes me feel at ease! I definitely think regardless of who all gets in, these times will make us come together for sure!

It certainly will. No one can do nursing school alone especially an accelerated program

Hi everyone! 

I applied this Summer as well, on August 23rd I think. So I made a terrible mistake and I’m kind of freaking out! I realized yesterday that I had my SAT scores sent to the university rather than including them in the ABSN application. Totally my fault. 
 

I have emailed -------------------------- time and time again (I definitely am getting on their nerves at this point LOL ?) about so many things through my application process. 
 

I’ve asked if there’s anyway that my scores can still be honored, but I feel like I haven’t gotten a clear answer so far. Should I try to meet with someone in person? Has anyone ran into any mistakes/problems like this?

I'm not sure if the deadline for the applications have closed at this point.  That is a mistake another young lady made last year and she didn't get in as a result.  If the deadline isn't over for submission I would attach them to however the method was for you all to apply.  If you still have time to submit I hope you are able to correct this matter.  Good Luck

Hi Blake, if I were you, I would insist, beg, and cry until I get a definite response. You probably have nothing to lose at this point. If there is any way that you have a chance to be considered, definitely use it. Maybe try to stop by in person?

The application has closed, yes ? I’ve been speaking with them to see if there is anything I can do but hard to get a clear answer so far.

I am definitely going to try to stop by in person! This stupid mistake is bothering me so much and I can’t believe I did it. I feel like if I’m trying to fix it now, they would be understanding and hopefully at least consider honoring it?

Sorry to make everyone’s notifications go off for this question. I know every time I see a notification for this thread to go off my heart skips a beat. LOL But.....question is: has anyone started applying for scholarships? From what I hear you should wait on your schools decision but I’ve also heard Winston Salem state has pretty poor financially support. I feel very lost with scholarships/Financial aid   because I didn’t pay for school the first time but it’s all me this time.

Hi all! For those who were accepted to the university itself already, how were you notified? On my WSSU application profile it says that the decision has been made, but doesn't say what the decision is, and I didn't receive any email or anything. So confused ?

Should be able to just click on it or there should be a link that says view decision and that how you see it.
