WSSU ABSN 2021 Start

Hey guys! I am not applying for the ABSN program but the traditional BSN program and I had a quick question to ask. Does Winston Salem accept the TEAS or HESI exam? I kept looking all over the website but it kept talking about SAT and ACT scores. Does that mean you don't need to take the exam to get into the program? And if you do can yall tell me what scores you guys got on the exam so I have an idea what to shoot for. Thanks!

No WSSU does not require the TEAS or HESI exam

Hey! But it requires either the SAT or ACT? I never took these exams because I went straight to community college from high school.

Correct. I never took it either. I had to take it this Summer to apply.

yes one of those test scores are required. Just make sure you take one of those exams before you complete your application. In my opinion, the ACT was easier than the SAT. Hopefully this helps!

Will WSSU use your TEAS test scores in place of you ACT test score?

Hi, they do not allow any substitutions. You must have an ACT or an SAT. Good luck!

Thanks for letting me know that!

I did take the SAT in high school but I remember doing horribly. Hopefully not too much emphasis will be placed on my score.

I hope things are well with all of you that went on to ABSN programs!

If your grades are fine otherwise, and you meet the minimum SAT requirement, likely, you will be just fine.
