Hello all,
Let's start this 2020 application cycle thread. Anyone will be applying this Summer?

And then when I see responses here I think "oh no, did they hear and I didn't??" I'm going crazy!
I think we're all going a bit mad! I assume several people were messaging her, asking her when the letters would go out, and she sent that mass email out to appease us, so we wouldn't contact her anymore. But I guarantee you, several people have contacted her again asking why they haven't received word when she said we'd hear back last week.
I've been real "good," and haven't sent her an email yet. But if I don't hear anything today, I'm probably going to message her tomorrow.
This is ridiculous. I think one of the girls on here said they had to accept by Nov 1st. That is barely enough time to process, and I'm sure some people need more than 5 days to process something big like this!

I agree, that will definitely not be enough time to process it all. Although being a single mom of 3, I'm trying to make my plan and alternate plan just in case ? I won't be able to switch gears very quickly if/when I get in, so best to be prepared!
I’m about to loose my mind. I’ve had dreams the past three nights about opening the email!! I was accepted to another school and it’s my second choice. I have to accept by November 2 and I really needed some time to think through it all first. I’m hoping there have been some people that have either called or emailed. I’m sure there’s not something crazy like their email system is down, right?!?! ???

I'm not a single mom, but my husband is doing all of his college courses online, and he's so busy sometimes, it feels like I'm doing it by myself during those times. We have three kids too, our girls are 8 and 6, and my little boy will be 3 in about 6 weeks. It is not easy to just up and go, or adapt when you have littles.

I also just talked to someone on the phone from northeastern and I mentioned the tuition cost being so high. They said if you get accepted into the program, students automatically qualify for a 20,000 dollar scholarship so tuition actually ends up being around 59,000. He said they have start dates in January, May and September (I think he said September, I only really heard the first two.) He was really nice and was asking my background in education and career goals, almost like a job interview. The next step for me was to send over transcripts and see what happens from there. He phrased it, "we can see which start date works best for you", which I thought was odd because it seems like the application process is so easy.
