Haven’t heard anything ?

I haven't heard anything either!

That's true of every year! There has to be something! A missing course or missing documents or not good enough grades. I mean, there has to be something specific! They can't just deny you because there are too many applicants!

I asked Ashlee, and she said that that course was expected for like the traditional method, that we would take that course in January

So don’t ABSN people still take that course? Like I know it’s not a pre-req for the actual program. Correct me if I’m wrong please.

Sounds like the bad news is going out first ?

Right! I saw the same thing on the catalog. The dean told me to read it, but everything on there I already knew and saw.

Tell the Dean that if it is required before the Second Degree ABSN, then they should have it written more plainly! And why is it offered in the first class section?

I was also denied, but I got in another schools ABSN. I think they sent out denials first from the looks of it. If you haven’t gotten anything yet, then you probably got in.

Right! I wrote such a lengthy email to the dean so now we wait. I just hope they’re able to understand where they went wrong and reconsider the decision. It doesn’t make sense if it’s not clear.

This seems very unorganized I heard back from other schools already as well.

NUR 2312 - Dynamics of Professional Nursing
Credits: 3 hrs
This course is designed to introduce the registered nurse student to concepts inherent in baccalaureate nursing education. The philosophy, conceptual framework, program purpose, and objectives will be discussed. Emphasis will be placed on the nursing process, as well as knowledge and skills that bridge prior learning experiences with current professional nursing practice.
Pre-requisite(s): Admission to RN-BSN or special permission

Sorry, I thought you said NUR 2312, not 2313. I guess I didn't get in, because I didn't take either of those courses. I spoke to Dr. Bhato, and he said that I only needed to redo my anatomy and physiology courses because they were older than 7 years and that I needed to take Microbiology.  He never mentioned anything about needing to take prerequisite nursing courses for the ABSN.

Where did you get in? And congrats!

Has anyone else heard anything yet?

I looked at Ashlee's schedule again, it said that NUR 2313 would be taken in the first block.
N19 took it from January 9th to February 7th this year, according to her schedule
