Hi, I"m getting references together for nursing school and they say that, among other people, they accept references from my "former teachers." I'm considering using my English teacher. The problem is I had him first quarter, and if I don't get into clinicals I'll have him again this summer. I do not have a class with him currently. Anyone see a problem?

I don't see a problem there. I'm sure the school just doesn't want you getting a recommendation from an instructor where you've never been in their class.
Good luck to you.

I don't see where this would be a problem at all.
Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll stop by his office today :)
