Published

Hey, I am in "Nursing 1"...and I want to purchase the book "Fundamentals Success" by davis, to help me study for my exams but I do not want to purchase it if what we are learning this semester is not considered the "fundamentals" what we are learning is....

- pain

- health care delivery

- elimination

- critical thinking

- cognitive impairment

- abuse

- nursing process

- falls

- documentation

- spiritual/ cultural

- death/ dying

- diabetes

- mental health

- catheterization

- oxygen

- nutrition

would a fundamentals book help me to prepare for my exams which are tested in this? thanks.

Yes. I bought that book for my Fundamentals class and it was beyond helpful.

Thanks! Did the practice questions help a lot ? And was the book separated by topic? I desperately need to study these topics and feel that book will help ALOT rather than just reading my notes

I too am in nursing 1 which is considered fundamentals and your topics are almost like the topics we are covering.....I purchased the book and so far it has what we covered in class...the questions were pretty much related to what we went over In class minus one or two questions...the rationales for each question are detailed. ..I love it so far

Alright thank you, since I can only buy it online I don't want to make an invest in something that won't help me and then have to go through the hassle of returning it..sounds good tho

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

Best book series ever.

I used from Fundamentals, Med-Surg, Peds, Pharm to Leadership; they are also helpful as NCLEX reviews as well.

Alright thanks! Do you guys know if every topic is broken up in the book by section?

I have their comprehensive nclex review that's broken up by body systems under each specialty.

Oh that sounds very helpful...might be good for when I go into nursing 2,3, and 4. I will look into that thanks!
