Worried about my Hawaii -RN license registration =(

Hi everyone, first of all I am a foreign grad nurse from the Philippines. I took my nclex-RN (State of Hawaii) last february 18,2012, PASSED and received my registration form and the paper stating that i passed after 4 days of passing.

In the registration form,it is stated there that i need to pay 140$ for my registration etc. so i filled up my registration form with necessary information such as my SS number,name etc. enclosed with the mail that i'll be sending back is the 140$ check made payable to consumers affairs (this is hawaii licensing dept.)

I sent the registration form with the check of 140$ last February 27,2012.

As of now, March 6,2012, i checked my account in the bank but the 140 $ check is still not deducted to my account. I am wondering if I've done something wrong.

now my questions and worries are:

-Did i do something wrong about the registration process?

-Should i put the paper stating that i passed together with my registration form?? (but then again it is stated there in the registration form that i passed so it is understood right?)

-Can somebody share his/her experience regarding own registration here in hawaii like how long does it take etc etc

-When you received your finished registration, what are the content of the mail that the consumer and commerce had sent you? is there wall certificate? the license itself? etc? pls share it

hi im from california and i went to school in the philippines, i took the nclex 3 times in cali but when i tried to take it again i was denied because of the philippine school not meeting the requirements of cali BON... so i went through cgfns to process my papers will i have a better chance applying in hawaii and no i didn't take the philippine board because i was there under student visa i was born and raised in cali so i was not allowed to take it there. i sent in my paper work already how long will it take to hear from them and have you heard of others who went to school in the philippines have a hard time applying in hawaii?

Sorry for the late reply, been very busy...mmm the length of time will depend on how fast you send their needed requirements, i finished my cgfns approx 6-8 mos,i took my exam in the Philippines also so i submitted my license verification paperworks. So for your situation since you cannot take Phil. licensure exam coz of your citizenship,i really don't know the process or how to deal with it. But you can actually call their hot line in cgfns philadelpia to ask how to solve it or send them a letter explaining why you don't have Phil. license So far I haven't heard of any applicants who were rejected in Hawaii. Cali had most number of rejections i guess. Cali has lot of requirements right now,super strict LOL. But check BON Hawaii for any new rules or changes. Godbless and Goodluck

cgfns already sent out my report how long is the wait after that? are you working in hawaii now?

hi princeofsiam,i need your help,i've been so eager to contact u but i dont know how.i'm in hawaii right now and came here dec.2011,im also an rn and now applying for nclex in bon hawaii.Do i need to send license verification form directly to prc or do i need someone in the phil.to do it for me?do they require payment or something ,i need help pls

my sister got approved with hawaii in just 1 month. she has no local license, just sent papers needed from school to cgfns. when cgfns received the papers, they just processed it in 1 week and sent the results to hawaii, and hawaii sent the approved letter after 1 month..

dibuh0, I was wondering if all Hawaii is requiring is the application form, application fee of $40, & CGFNS? I looked at their website but I just wanted to confirm it because a lot of states require fingerprint card which I don't see in the Hawaii requirements.

Hi! Im new here. Im an RN here in the philippines and would like to take nclex-rn and nclex-lvn for hawaii. Can you help me please of what i must do first to start with all the process? Can i take the exam here in the philippines even without an ss number? Thank you and hoping to hear from you.

You apply for a nursing license by examination. If qualified you may take the NCLEX but you will not be issued a license without a valid SSN.

According to the application you must complete CGFNS credential evaluation service (CES) like most other states or you can do the CGFNS certification program (credential evaluation and CGFNS exam) before you can be deemed eligible to proceed to the licensing exam NCLEX. Regardless if you wish to sit NCLEX-PN or NCLEX-RN. Both require a separate application and fee.

No licenses will be issued until you provide a valid SSN
