Worried about chemistry on HESI A2

Hi everyone! I'm new here.... this is my first post. I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with a question about the HESI A2 test that I'm taking this Friday. (1/14/11)

The chemistry section... how many questions are related to moles?? I understand what a mole is in relation to the elements , but it's been a long time since I've done any equations with them. And, when we did equations with them in Chemistry class, it was all with calculators, which we can't use during the HESI A2 test.

Any advice would be great! Thank you!

Hello laney, I'm Pam. I am taking the hesi a2 in august... how did your test go? Was the chemistry and biology hard?

I sure hope they don't expect us to calculate moles without a calculator.. Can anyone shed some light on this one?

I was under the impression you could use a calculator on the HESI.. :/

I am right there with you.. when are you taking the test?!

Me too! Good luck!! How in dpeth are you studying?! That is what I am super worried about... I am mostly concerned about the bio... just like the DNA, DNA synthesis and stuff...

I'm probably put a few good days into go over all the material and refreshing my memory on some stuff. I'm also taking the TeasV so I think studying hard from both books will help on both tests.

That's good to know- I just took a 5 week crash chem/lab course so chem will be fresh in my mind. :)

anyone remember how hard the bio portion was? That is the only section I am a little freaked out about :)... I bought the hesi a2 study guide and another nursing entrance study guide that I will be studying from... I am going to start to study this week!

anyone know how hard the moles for chemistry is on the test? I know that we cannot use a calculator so... yeah. I'm kind of freakin' out!!! I have a terrible tendancy to freak myself out so much that I WAY overstudy..

I was allowed to use a calculator for the entire Hesi. It was an in test application though not my own calculator. For what it's worth I didn't find the chemistry difficult. Chem doesn't come easy for me either and I got 100% on that section. It was very much like the review guide.

hello everyone,

pls i registered to write Hesi on the 20th of august, for admission into UTHSC houston.they require math, reading comprehension, vocabulary and general knowledge, grammar, anatomy and physiology, critical thinking, learning styles and personality styles.

question 1: please did any one already take the test for this school, i registered for the "admission asssment test with critical thinking,is it the right one?"

question 2: i heard that it will be a 4hr test, with all these sections do i need to really rush through them on that day to keep up with time?

Question 3:pls do i just ignore the sections that are not required by the school( eg chemistry, physics) or are those courses going to be automatically removed from the my test?

Question 4: i have bought the hesi book from evolve and also the mcgraw hill's test, with these two is there any particular way i should study (based on where i should concentrate on.)

i am so sorry, its a lot of questions ithat i am asking, i am so scared.pls any answer will help.you dont have to answer all, just any one that u know about.any thing helpful will be appreciated.thanks in advance.
