Hi everyone!
I am new here! :) I am currently a student nurse studying in Singapore National University of Singapore. I am planning to specialise in geri and I would really want to work in the US one day. Can anyone tell me what are the requirements i should have?

You would need to meet the requirements of the BON in the state that you want to apply for licensure in.If you meet the requiremnents they will give you permission to write the NCLEX.If you pass it you will have a license. Getting a Green Card takes about 6 years and requires an employer willing to wait.
Woah! 6 years?? Wouldnt it be rly tough to get an employer who is willing to wait?

Yes. That is why not a lot of employers do it.
Woah.. looks like i wud have to start applying for a green card first then. Isnt there any kind of work permit or stuff like that? What kind of requirements does the BONs usually look for?
You can't apply for a Green Card until you find an employer.
Pick a state you want to live and work in. Go to that BRN's website and see what the requirements are.
Good luck!

H1b requires minimum of BSN and is a specialist visa therefore you need to have something that the employer wants, also in most cases employer applies April for Oct start after interview. Employer has to pay all fees. Immigrant visa (greencard) requires employer to start process unless you are getting immigrant visa via another route like family or marriage. Current processing times 6 plus years. Either way find employer will be hard and they will not really look at you unless met state requirements and passed NCLEX
Oh woah. Looks like its rly tough. oh what is H1b?
H1b is work visa
Looks like its really really hard to work in the states as a nurse if you are from overseas.
It is hard but not impossible just be aware takes many years and determination
