Working at a hospital that you owe $, possible?

If you owe a hospital money, are they able to look at your finacial records and see that you owe money thereby denying you a job d/t to that?

If I remember correctly, medically bill cannot appear on your credit report. Yes you still owe and should pay by but medical bills are classified differently.

At least in Florida, however your state may vary.

If you haven't paid on it or made some arrangements, it could end up on your credit report. I know we had one for a $20 copay once. Another story in itself.

I worked for an auto insurance company that I owed money to. (got into an accident with one of their insureds a couple of years before I worked for them) They never said a thing to me. Pulled my credit, but they were not on there, did all kinds of background checks, but still never said a thing.

If you don't pay the bill and it goes to collections, it most certainly will appear on your credit report. That's with any bill.

If you pay on it monthly though before it goes to collections, then it won't appear on your credit report.

I worked for a mortgage broker. I saw many unpaid medical bills on credit reports.
