Good thoughts to you and everyone out that way. Texas is sending you 200 firefighters. I imagine that even if recess/PE were inside every day, the most sensitive kids and adults would still be affected because the air quality is so poor that outside even for a few minutes makes it hard to breathe.

I just need to share with those that understand. I am in California, as you know the state has a couple of big fires burning. I am several hours from the fire nearest fire, but it is extremely smoky, the air quality is bad even for the healthy population.
I had a dream that the health office was full of kids with varying degrees of respiratory distress, some students had inhalers, many did not. I was drowning in kids.
I woke up very nervous about coming into work today. Fortunately the whole district is on rainy day schedule so that means indoor lunch and recess. Thanks for letting me share.
