Let me know how the interview goes! I plan on applying for February, or October 2016 realistically. Can you look into their status on obtaining regional accreditation? As January 2015 the COA wants regional accreditation according to their website. They have their accreditation until 2018, and I'm scared to start and spend a bunch of money just to have them have their accreditation pulled before I finish!
Thanks!

RNDude,
You are on the right track! I am a current Wolford student and even before I began the program the school would state that "we are working on regional accreditation". We just had a meeting yesterday with the administration and the same thing came up again and we received same answer "we are working on it". So they have been stating that for at least 5 years now and there is no sign of this on the SACS website, which is who accredits collages in the south. Their accreditation is good till 2018 and my opinion is they are going to go away after that. I believe now it is just a money grab for the owners of the school. They have promised a new simlab mannequin for years and we still don't have it, most of the items in the lab are broken or don't work properly. It would appear they have decided not to waste any money on the lab since they don't plan on being here much longer. This is all just my opinion but this is what I've seen since being here.
Thanks for the response. I wonder....If I started in 2016/2017 and COA accreditation is lost, would the COA let us finish the program? Or would they send all students home packing with nothing to show for their time in school..?

If the school loses its accreditation while you are attending then you are out of luck. Even if the school stays open and you finish out the program (not sure if that's possible) then your degree would not be recognized since you would have graduated from an unaccredited school. Disclaimer: I have no idea if this school will lose its accreditation and dont mean to imply that it will. I'm just answering your question.

Good luck guys. Please let me know how it goes. It is one of the schools on my list. If they mention anything about regional accreditation and the deadline, let me know!
Straight from the COA:
"I am in receipt of your email dated xxxx in which you requested information on the Council's requirement for all accredited programs to be regionally accredited. As you noted in your email, Council Standards require all accredited programs to obtain regional accreditation by January 1, 2015; any programs not regionally accredited at that time are considered out of compliance with the Standards. According to the Council policy Deadline for Compliance with the Standards and Criteria of the Council on Accreditation†(ref. Accreditation Policies and Procedures manual, p. D-1), programs generally have a maximum of 24 months in which to comply with the Council's requirements. Programs not in compliance by the two-year deadline may face revocation of their accreditation by the COA. If the Council makes the decision to revoke a program's accreditation, the effective date will allow for the completion of the program's academic year; if a program appeals the revocation decision and it is sustained, the effective date will fall on the day after the final day of the academic calendar in which the appeal occurs. Regarding student completion of the program, the Council policy Program Closures and Teach-Out Plans and Agreements†(ref. Accreditation Policies and Procedures manual, p. P-10) states that single purpose institutions or programs closing voluntarily or involuntarily are required to submit a written teach-out plan containing a plan for closure outlining how currently enrolled students will be provided with sufficient didactic and clinical experiences to meet accreditation and graduation requirements."
Sounds like they will let the students finish
