Anyone attending wolford college spring 2018 class?

I need one but looking for a male roommate.

Has anyone started a Facebook group for this class?

Hey, I was wondering if you had any insight on when they plan to transition to DNP only?

Hey, I was wondering if you had any insight on when they plan to transition to DNP only?

I called last week and asked the exact same question to their NA program coordinator. They stated there is no exact date decided for a roll out date for DNP, and they don't know at this time. IMO, that's good news. I'd rather apply to a masters program.

Some schools across the country are waiting until the very latest date to implement the DNP, which would be January 2022 (for most).

That is good news. I too think a masters program is where I would like to apply for fall of 2019. Do you know what other schools are still a Masters program? I see that most programs here in NC are already Doctorate and some of them last 4 years. I just cannot fathom being unemployed that long and in school. I also looked at programs in GA, SC, FL, TN and none that I have found still offer masters level training. The two cohorts a year is a great thing that other schools should consider. I began my RN program in the spring and it was great because I did not have to wait another 8 months to start.

So whats the deal is the school open and approved by COA or what?

Still wondering on what the deal is here? Is the program accepting applicants? Was all the issues sorted out? TIA

Here let me Google that FOR you...

Nurse Anesthesia, MS - Keiser University

"The Keiser University Nurse Anesthesia Programs (master and doctoral levels) are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA), 222 S. Prospect Ave., Park Ridge, IL 60068; (847) 655-1160. Home The program's next review by the COA is scheduled for January 2019.

The Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) requires that all students matriculating into a nurse anesthesia educational program on January 1, 2022 or thereafter be enrolled in a program approved by the COA to award a practice doctoral degree. The program plans to submit its application to the COA for approval to award the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice entry-level degree in May 2019. Pending approval by the COA, the program plans to enroll its first doctoral cohort of students in August 2020. Further information regarding this transition may be obtained by contacting the program at Keiser University Naples Campus (239) 513-1135."

All of this info you can find on your own. Based on the quotes above, it appears they are accepting applications. You could always contact them as well if you have questions.

Pending approval by the COA, the program plans to enroll its first doctoral cohort of students in August 2020.

Thanks for the link and updated information specifically on the DNP transition.

How's it going? For those in Kaiser's program?

I've recently spoken with several students; again, I advise attending Keiser as a last resort. I was pretty horrified at the things they told me.
