Wishing to work in north vancouver

Hello to all! I am a nurse working in cardiothoracic critical care here in the United Kingdom.I am originally from the Philippines and has worked there as a nurse since April 1996. I 've been with the NHS hospitals since January 2001. I have an 8 yr. old daughter and a 10 week old son. My husband works here as an electronics design engineer. We have come up with the decision of hopefully immigrating to Canada, specifically in North Vancouver as the other half has got some job prospects there. The scenes in Canada look very stunning and as parents we feel that our children will have a great time in the outdoors and we too the parents:D. I have no clue as to how and where to start and any help will be highly appreciated and I hope some helpful and kind person will be able to point us in the right direction. Thank you very much.

Thread moved to the International Forum since it is specific to licensure and immigration questions.

Check out the banner at the top of the Canadian forum.

If you browse around the site there are plenty of people in the same or similar situations to yourself, asking the same questions...there will probably be some answers there...

Look at www.crnbc.ca for license requirements in British Columbia that will help you on your journey.

www.vch.ca is the website for Vancouver Coastal Health here they have all sorts of information including job openings for the different hospitals in the vancouver area and local regions.

Vancouver is a beautiful area, as is much of BC.

I hope this helps you with some of your questions.
