Hello Fiona 59 and kidneyhelper, I do not feel so isolated now with this discussion. Having a lesser annual leave entitlement and maternity leave will not really affect our decision, as we already have an 8 yr. old daughter and a 12 week old son. To us what matters is my husband being able to find a job. Fiona 59, I have a question for you, would you say that Alberta on the whole offers more job opportunities, as compared to other provinces? Hello to all! I am a nurse working in cardiothoracic critical care here in the United Kingdom.I am originally from the Philippines and has worked there as a nurse since April 1996. I 've been with the NHS hospitals since January 2001. I have an 8 yr. old daughter and a 10 week old son. My husband works here as an electronics design engineer. We have come up with the decision of hopefully immigrating to Canada, specifically in North Vancouver as the other half has got some job prospects there. The scenes in Canada look very stunning and as parents we feel that our children will have a great time in the outdoors and we too the parents:D. I have no clue as to how and where to start and any help will be highly appreciated and I hope some helpful and kind person will be able to point us in the right direction. Thank you very much.
