I've been preparing for the exam since November last year starting from improving my base knowledge through reading the Saunders 5th edition book skipping the first 8 chapters, OB, Psyche and Pedia.I also enrolled in a review program that lasted for almost two months. They recommend that I should try answering questions in La Charity Prio and Delegation so i did it having an average score ranging from 50% to 75% having my lowest score which was 48% and 90% as my highest. I also tried answering NCLEX 3500 which later I gave up on answering because I am weak on meds questions so instead I started memorizing and studying different medications. I also enrolled on NCSBN course and took time studying some of its contents. However, despite of all these preparations it felt like Im not doing enough and sometimes I don't feel like studying at all. Overall, Im starting to doubt myself so I need some prayers and encouragement from you guys!!! Im feeling so down!!

Dont Be frustrated!! The SATA on the NCLEX are starighforward but the only requirement is to know the content. you can easily look at a question and determine if an answer choice fits or not.
you will make it just fine!! the nclex 3500 is great practice, make sure u r reading rationales. dont focus ur studying on one area (example: pharm) because NCLEX will give a little bit of everything......
and remember u must only prove minimal competency!!!
dont stress!! :)
btw when is ur test?

Actually, I don't have an exact date yet but I've been waiting for my ATT to arrive.Since it will take 3 to 4 weeks or more I'm assuming that I will take the exam on the last week of April.

RELAX! you've been preparing for a long time.
as soon as you get the ATT, schedule a date and stick to it.
Don't ignore peds/ob and psyche. Especially psyche, you need to know this and how to communicate therapeutically. Psyche isn't that hard so don't blow it off.
Don't memorize, try to understand and I gave up on studying meds, too much of them and you know know what you are going to get. Try to review broad catetgories like knowantihypertensives eg
il's are your ace inhibitors
'ols are your beta blockers
etc know their contraindications and about potassium etc
know the main heart drugs, the main brochodilators, diabetic meds etc but i found that the more questions you did, you got a good sprinkle in of meds so just read the rationales
what i found comfort in the week before my exame is something that GreenTea or ESME said which was that over 85% of first time NCLEX takers pass the exam. This was taken from NCSB themselves so that's ag reat average. just prepare and know your content. Know that many of the questions will come down to 2 answers that could be correct, sometimes you can eliminate one and sometimes it's a crap shoot but hey you have now a 50% chance of getting it right! :)

undoubtedly, the nclex is not meant to scare future nurses. having said that, the main purpose of the exam, is to verify if the candidate is capable to practice nursing in a safety manner. besides that, you're one step ahead already, since your nursing program has prepared you on utilizing rationale actions. lastly, make sure you have a good night sleep the night before, and a balance breakfast on the day of the exam. wishing you the very best on all of your future endeavors...aloha~
