Since its the new year, will the board of nursing change the content of the questions to make them tougher for 2012 test takers?
Anyone have any clues what it will be on?

one of my instructors is a nclex question writer, and before graduation let us know that they update questions every 3 years. it was updated for 2010, so they will be the same as last year. they did raise the passing standard in 2009 i believe... could be wrong on the year, but it was recent.
for info on how the test works and what will be on it, please take a look at the test plan available online. the first 15 questions are not scored, the computer judges your ability based on those, and goes from there. if you get a question wrong, your next question is slightly easier. if you get a question right, your next question will be slightly harder. it's all explained here:

If I'm not mistaken the NCLEX PN was changed this past April 1, 2011.

Correction on your "..the first 15 questions are not scored..." - That unscored 15 items are called pretest but it does not necessarily mean that they are given as the 1st 15 items of the NCLEX-RN exam. The test taker will not be informed if a certain test item is part of that pretest or not. The best advice is to answer each questions seriously as if all items are scored.
