Hi. I am currently attending a suburban community college with a well-respected nursing program. I have 3 more semesters of pre/co-reqs before I can begin the nursing program in the Fall of 2012, assuming I'm accepted.
I'm also considering applying to another program in a neighboring county. This school has four campuses, accepts new nursing students twice a year (instead of just once as in my current school), and has a fast-track option. Not only that, but their clinicals are held in bigger teaching hospitals with many speciality units. Tuition will be at a higher out-of-district rate and the cost of gas/commuting and city parking could be triple what I'm paying now.
Both schools have high job placement rates in a variety of settings...big hospitals, rural hospitals, nursing homes, etc. Would the big city school be worth the extra expense and time getting there or is just being prepared for the NCLEX more important?
Thanks in advance. :)

Check out the school's nclex pass rates for first time test takers, and apply to both programs.
