I made pretty bad grades my first semester of college but I got it together and I now have a 3.5 and I made all A's this past spring. BUT I made a C in chemistry a couple semesters ago. I havent retaken it and I dont have time to take it this fall. I made an A in bio. I still have to take anatomy and physiology and microbiology. I apply this upcoming january. Has anyone gotten into a texas school with a C in chem/ a 3.5 GPA??????

Texas is a big state. I got in as an alternate with a 3.7, but you should probably check with the program(s) you're actually interested in to see what their typical cut-off(s) are.

It doesn't hurt to try. Do you have an opportunity to take Chemisty again?

99% of nurses did not have straight As when they got into school to get started. Nursing schools have a huge range of requirements. Maybe you won't get into the insanely popular school that's owned by a local hospital, but you'll get into one somewhere. Almost every college in the country has a nursing major now. Relax, and look around.
