I just graduated my CNA class and am about to get a job and also starting on my RN school prereqs. My particular program in my area (Blinn CC in college station) doesn't specify that having health field experience will help my chances in getting accepted, but I was just wondering if it would anyway?I remember when I lived in Dallas the El Centro program gave you extra points for being in the health field, but down here the program isn't a point system.

Lots of CNA's who become nursing students demonstrate a great ease doing patient care and multi-tasking. You should get more information from your school.

You will then have an upper hand, having some "nursing" knowledge while some of your other classmates won't.so either way you have it and use it so it will be worth it anywaygood luck
