Wilkes postgraduate PMHNP program fall 2020

Hey all!

I got accepted to the postgraduate pmhnp program at wilkes for fall 2020. Thought I'd create a thread for us.

Any idea how much tuition till cost for us? Based on credit hours, I estimate round $13K, not counting books, etc. Any specific idea of cost would be appreciated.

Also, around what time should we expect to go to orientation?

I wanted to connect with students for Fall 2020. I have applied for Post Masters Psych NP program at Wilkes for the Fall.
How long did it take for you to get an answer from the admissions committee for acceptance?

Also if we can start a FB thread, that will be great. This can be for study purposes.

I was notified about 2 weeks ago. I applied back in Nov 2019. When I had asked when decisions would be made, they said the month of March. I admisiikn with this pandemic, notifications for a acceptance will be delayed...

OK. I’m thinking I will get accepted, just waiting for my acceptance letter. I’m staying positive. As soon as I hear something I am ready to start in the thread. I applied to other Universities but really would like to go to Wilkes. It’s the better fit for me.

I was accepted as well for fall 20. I was previously told that tuition was 13,104. May have gone up slightly since them. This is if you have the 3ps. Have you received your packet. Also, is the program 3 semesters or 4

Hi All,

I am waiting up to the minute now. Wilkes has not retrieved my last Transcript, as of yet. It may be there, I sent the transcript two and 1/2 weeks ago. I am having this issue because of the COVID-19 Epidemic. It is slowing everything down. I have not had the opportunity to ask them how strict they are with admissions. It's difficult to speak to anybody since COVID-19. Maybe I will be hearing something at the end of this week or next.

Hi

Wilkes received the last transcript on today it was retrieved. Waiting for a decision...maybe by the end of next week I will know.

The tuition is 728 dollars per credit plus fees of proctoring and etc. Has anybody received information on how good the program is??

I received my acceptance letter today for the Post Masters Psych NP Program. It took a while because of the COVID-19 epidemic but I have my letter now. Has anyone started a facebook thread yet for the fall 2020 class?

I also got accepted for the fall. My tuition is slightly under $12000, 16 credits * $728 per credit. Not inclusive of other fees, including books, etc.

Hi All,

I just completed my Psychopharmacology course. I am also FNP-C. Don’t forget there is a per credit additional fee which brings it up to around $802 or so per credit not including other lab fees and books. It is a good program so far. I am struggling with trying to find a Preceptor, especially in light of COVID-19 as some practitioners are Telehealth only right now, so I’d advise lining up some potential people in advance. You can use MD/PMHNP/ even CNS & possibly FNP with > 5 years in psych as NP. Wilkes does not permit Telemedicine for rotations. For me it is 3 semesters but there are no clinicals over the Summer. Good luck in the program!!
