Wilkes MSN PMHNP Spring 2019

Published

Hi all. I'm applying to Wilkes for the Spring 2019 MSN MPHNP program. Anyone else?

Hey folks,

@Miss.Jersey..I was accepted to the PMHNP Spr '19 cohort as well. So much anxiety right now it isn't even funny. At the top of it all is the question, How am i financing this prg?

I didn't even get my packet yet from them so afraid to see how much it will cost. I just had an interview at La Salle University Tuesday so now I am torn. If I get into LaSalle's program I have to decide. Ughhh

Anyone got in for ADN-PMHNP? Do you need to have statistics course prior to starting?

Congrats! I'm getting a student loan. I'm not worried about the cost. Either the first PMHNP employer will have a loan incentive, get a government loan program, or...I figure the additional income after beginning the new career will pay for the loan.

In the initial email welcoming us there was an attachment about applying for The Graduate loan.

$700/credit plus whatever fees at the moment. So I anticipate $4200 plus fees the first semester with Advanced EBR and Advanced Pathophysiology. At 40 credits, assuming the tuition doesn't increase (which it has been doing) that's $28,000 plus fees. I don't know what the fees are.

Did you accept a seat? Who do you have for these courses?

I actually accepted a seat and then found out I was accepted into LaSalle's FNP program. They will actually be finalizing their PMHNP soon so I will be able to change my track at that time. But I think I am going to complete the FNP track then get my certification for PMHNP after that. This was a better option for me because I attended there for my BSN and my employer offers a discount per credit. They also allow you to take one course at a time until you go into your clinicals. At that time you are required to take 6 credits per semester. And it's hybrid some classes are online and some are at the Bucks or Philadelphia campus which is much more convenient for me.

I was offered and accepted a "seat" for Spring 2019 PMHNP program. I have heard very little. I managed to log in to my email account at Wilkes and looked around a bit. Looking forward to getting on the way.

Hi! I'm starting the RN-PMHNP spring 2019. I've been trying to figure out what book we need for NSG-410 but it's not showing up. I'm also trying to figure out if we have to go on campus for the 2nd class (NSG-411) or not because it's not showing that on the curriculum. The admission girl that I was speaking with said that we go 3 times. Once during the 2nd course and twice in the last year of the program. On the curriculum it only shows the 2 classes (NSG-535 & NSG-536) in the 3rd year. I emailed Dr. Lucas & he got back with me & said he forwarded my email to someone that can help me & I haven't heard anything back yet.

I read somewhere that the on-campus portion was around the 10th week. I didn't know about the 3 visit requirement. I am sure when we get started we will have a more reliable point of contact. Good luck.

Hello,

I was accepted for Spring 2019 PMHNP also. I will be a transfer and I have yet to recieve my plan. I was told I would receive it by next week. Is anyone else waiting?
