Hi there!!! At my school we actually take a test called the NLN Pre-Entance Exam.
This is the website where you can look over some practice problems. ( I think there is four. )

Also, my school offers a non-credit class where they teach you how to be a 'good test taker' for this exam. It's a class that goes over the types of questions that'll be on the exam. You might want to check other schools in your area to see if any of them offer this.
Hope this helps and best of luck!!!!
It's probably because it is either a test they have designed themselves, so no guide exists, or the test is designed to measure your personality and characteristics. There no way to study for either one of those. Just chill. Everyone else applying to the LPN program is in the same boat as you.
I have found that schools usually don't tell because they don't want you to panic and frantically start to study. At my school we have the nert test and are turning over to the hesi test. But they are both way easy . Well for me they were. It was like basic math, a little anatomy and physiology, reading etc...
I am also running into this problem!!! I am going in to take the test on the 3rd and it has been like pulling teeth! I bought Cliffs test prep....nursing school entrance exam. I hope it works because if not I will have to wait 6 months to retake it:angryfire I finally did have someone tell me it was the HEIS
