Why is nursing considered a sexy career?

Published

Nurses have always been dipicted as sexy women coming into a patients rooms to give them a sponge bath Or wearing tight-fitting outfits, and high heels. Do you feel nursing is sexy? When you tell others that you are a nurse, do they think its hot? And do you feel a man being a nurse is as sexy as a woman who is a nurse? Are nurses sex icons of the past, present, and future?

Is it really the profession, or is it the fact that the profession has a disproportionate number of women in the 20-29yo age range?

Because I don't think nurses are hot. But I do think that hot nurses are hot.

When I come home "smelling like hospital" (as my wife describes it)... she certainly doesn't find it sexy... LOL

:rotfl: There's always some hospital smell that gets stuck, and I certainly do NOT find that sexy, nor do the people around me. :chuckle

Aren't most nurses 40+? I'm pretty sure they are. I think it's a little different in some teaching hospitals, though. I'm 25, and my ex-bf is actually dating a nurse over 40, haha. He's 27.

One when I showed up to work, I walked in on a conversation taking place by nurses who were discussing who were the more endowed male patients they took care of in the past and were gesturing why.:nono:
