Who's taking Kaplan and if so what kind of scores...

What kind of scores are you getting in the qbank questions? I'm getting anywhere from the 50s-low 70s. I want to know if that is pretty standard/adequate. I think I remember in my Kaplan class the lady telling us that we should shoot for a 50 on the tests so it gives us some wiggle room...

anybody?

THanks!

Just finished the QT7 (still reading through the rationales, yikes!), and I got a 74%. I test on Tuesday.

Momof3, that's a great score! You will do great on NCLEX! Those of you who have taken NCLEX and used Kaplan, do you feel as though you used the Kaplan strategies a lot on NCLEX or was it mostly knowledge based? I know that it depends on the level of the question but just for a general idea I'm curious if the Kaplan strategies were helpful on the actual NCLEX! Thanks :)

I haven't yet taken it, but my friend who took the class with me did. She said that she saw at least 5 that were almost identical to the ones we saw in the Kaplan class, and many other similar ones. She said she felt that the class prepared us well. She only took the class, and did not do any of the qbanks or question trainers. She passed.

I recently took it and passed with 75 questions. I got anywhere from 50 to 85% on the Qbank and about 60 on the trainers. I only did about 42% of the Qbank and trainers 1,2,3,4, and 7. I also did the diagnostic and readiness tests and probably averaged around 60%. I think the class helped me alot, but mostly it was just doing questions and brushing up on content that I didn't know. I did questions out of other books too, which is why I did not do all of Kaplans. Don't worry about your scores. Just do as many questions as you can leading up to the exam and make sure you read the rationales and review content that you need to brush up on. I used the Kaplan and Saunders book to review content.
