Last week I received my acceptance letter and will begin a 2yr RN program in January!!!!! I'm so excited and anxious about going that I think I'm starting to bore my family and coworkers talking about it. So I decided to come here and bore you guys lol.
So who's starting this Spring and what are you doing to prepare yourself? Or are you just relaxing and enjoying the next couple of months?
I'm currently working as much overtime as I can for "just incase" money. I would love to start reading but my school has not put our book list up yet. Need to decide between a MacBook Pro vs. MacBook Air, and either a ridiculously expensive, but adorable, Erin Condren planner or a cheap boring one. As lame as it sounds I've been watching YouTube videos of how people organize their planners and binders for nursing school. I gotta do something to pass the time!
I got my acceptance to my top choice school for January as well :)As OP, I am definitely going to get an Erin Condren planner. They're so great for time management and organization so I definitely just see it as a necessary part of my budget

As far as preparing, while my books haven't posted yet (and I have new student open house this coming Monday), I've still taken it upon myself to start studying basic dosage calculations and conversions, etc. Rather be as ahead as I can while I have the chance, lol.
And white, my scrubs are all white. Top and bottom. Needless to say I'm buying a bulk amount of tide to go sticks and oxiclean
two questions. How much is an Erin Condren planner? And also, what are some ways you're going to start studying basic dosage calculations and conversions?
I start my ADN this spring! I have my schedule except for clinicals. I'm taking Foundations and Geriatrics this semester. I am so excited! I'm ordering my scrubs next week, all white. They said they supply a cheap stethoscope but I really want a Littmann before I start.
Edited to say I just recieved my EC planner yesterday and love it!
Congrats!!! I am attending this spring as well! I'm very anxious, we haven't had an informational session yet, I want to pick out my classes so I can figure out my work schedule as well. I've heard good things about the Erin Condren planner and plan on making that one of my first purchases. I also bought a Lippencott 10th edition nursing procedures book just to skim through and get into the mindset for school :)
