I'm in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. As long as your heart is not set on working in an acute care hospital, this area is still welcoming to new grads. There are nursing homes, rehab centers, hospices, home health agencies, clinics, and other non-hospital settings that will employ a new grad LPN/LVN.
There are jobs in Bend and Coos Bay, OR at the hospital. Check out Providence Health for jobs in MT, AK, WA and OR.
Also jobs in Oswego, NY at the hospital.
There are jobs for graduates; you just have to be flexible. Areas where the bubble burst, may not be conducive to employment for new graduates.
I live in NE GA and there are jobs here, mostly clinics, LTC, Doc in the Box's, ect.
Do you know anyone who works for Amedisys Home Health? I see they have a few agencies in atlanta area I live in California and I have had just about enough of it!! I am REALLY THINKING of relocating. If you know could you give me some feed back. I am like ready to leave like yesterday:uhoh3:
Thanks

I don't know anything about the Atlanta area, I live in NE GA and I'm not familar with Amedisys. However, I'm a re-entry LPN and haven't yet re-entered...still battling the GA LPN BON.

Since I am a new grad and will be taking NCLEX soon and heading off into the job market full force, I have been viewing the job hunting woes. Of course there are always the posters that say that there are tons of places hiring... So help your fellow Nurses out and if you are in an area or state that is hiring abundantly POST HERE!!
BTW... Arizona is NOT one of those places
