We've had several threads from everyone saying they were accepted to various schools, but if everyone is willing let's do one big thread for everyone that will be starting anesthesia school this summer or fall. If you don't mind please include where you applied, the status from each school ( meaning didn't get an interview, interviewed and not accepted/made alternate/accepted), and the school you chose and why. Thanks, so much!
I applied to :
1) Medical College of Georgia- interviewed and made alternate
2) Samford (in Birmingham)- interviewed and accepted
3) University of Alabama at Birmingham- interviewed and accepted and will be going there this fall. I chose UAB because I loved the Director and all of their clinicals are in Birmingham, so I won't have to travel all over the state.
I posted a few weeks back that I was going to Samford. I have since then been accepted to Mercer university in Macon, GA. I am so excited! This is closer to my home and I will be able to do all of my clinicals in one place. Samford is a great program, anyone would be proud to attend. The faculty there are outstanding. All of the students I met there were very satisfied with the program. I hated to make the call and decline their offer, but Mercer works better for me. Mercer is a great program with a great staff also. I am ready to get started!!! :rotfl: :lol2: :monkeydance:
Congratulations to everyone who's over the first hump! I have been reading postings off and on for several years and just registered. I applied to TWU for 2007 because they had a satellite program in Lubbock - which has recently become not an option. Now, I will apply to both TCU and TWU for 2008 and hope to sell my newly built home here and relocate to Fort Worth. Does anyone have info on the differences in the two programs, including interview experiences? Any info and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.
to pedsccrn, I suggest taking a tour of both campuses!!!
