Who wants to play the waiting game with me?

Published

That's right; this semester is over and it's no longer in my hands! :yeah:I'm officially playing the waiting game! I've done all that I can and all that needs to be done. The school's acceptance letters go out in March so I'm on here looking for someone, anyone on here who might be in the same boat as me and who wants to jump into the pool and swim with me as we wait for our numbers to be called!

So... anyone out there?:smokin:

:yeah:Another happy camper here--WooHoo! Got my letter to start the RN day program in the fall. I'm so excited (a bit scared too), and I can't wait for September to come.

Good luck to all those still waiting.

Congratulations Scooter!!!:anpom:*wine:stdnrsrck:

HOW MANY APPLIED TO HINDS LPN TO RN PROGRAM. I WAS TOLD 62 TO BE EXACT BUT THEY ARE ONLY TAKING 30-33:banghead: I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THEY COULD TEST SO MANY PEOPLE FOR ENTRANCE BY PAYING 40 DOLLARS FOR EVERY TESTTAKER THEN ONLY ACCEPT HALF; DOESN'T SEEM FAIR TO ME:crying2:

I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. I was in the same boat and getting answers from anyone was like pulling teeth. Different school but I received my acceptance letter 10 days ago any I am still in shock. The school I applied to, I have heard how it takes several semesters of applying to get in and I got in on my first try. Please let us know how you make out.

I'm playing the waiting game, actually I think the waiting game is playing me because I am so anxious!!!! I cannot sleep, I just want april 15th to get here so I can know whether or not I made the cut!! The suspense is unbelievable. I cannot sleep. I have class tomorrow, I need to sleep. Instead I keep daydreaming about opening the letter and reading "congratulations".:zzzzz:confused::sleep::plsebeg::yawn:

Here's a different twist on the waiting game. My letter says I am an alternate, however I *must* attend an orientation session on April 21st and bring a non-refundable $100 for the background check. If someone does not take their seat I might get in. Notification could be anytime up to the first day of class, LPN part time program which begins August 18th. :smiletea2:

I know exactly how you are feeling. I received my acceptance letter 10 days ago so I thought the anxiety was over but last night I could not sleep from 2am-4:30am. I have kids and I have always been home with them so it is not just a change for me. Keep thinking positive. I was on a wait list and was called a second time around twice. Once for an LPN program and now for an RN program. I do not see how they can take a non-refundable deposit if you are not accepted. Good luck.

I'm joining the waiting list. I applied to Beth Israel and Long Island College Hospital.

I'm waiting on my NLN scores for Beth Israel, my first choice. They should arrive next week. I'm taking the TEAS for LICHSON on the 17th. Once the schools receives my scores, the serious waiting game starts for me. Congratulations to all who have already been accepted. :yeah::yeah::yeah:

Playing the waiting game is the worst ever! So, I applied to the Nova Southeastern University, South Fort Myers campus (here in Florida)! Went on my interview, and got a "Congratulations! Welcome to the Program" after the interview is over. Even though they said that, Iam still freaking out because I was supposed to get the letter in the mail and haven't yet! :(

Then today the secretary called me this afternoon "to schedule" my interview....that I already had. I guess my file was missed place and back in the pile for interviews! So, totally freaked out because who knows what that means! She said she was going to call me back on the confusion, but I have no proof that I got in! Im soooo scared, it was the only school I applied to!

Anyone have any advice?

My advice is to have faith

Thank you! I called them back and they did say that it was misplaced and they did confirm that I was accepted :) So, hopefully everything should be coming in the mail sometiime in the next month.

Good luck. I was accepted two weeks ago and I had problems as well. You have to be persistant. You are just another name to them and they will not miss you. Stay on top of it. That is what I did and that is what got me into the program I applied to.
