If any of you out there have taken the HESI A2 for any of the Maricopa Colleges, would you like to share your experience? Can you compare it to the NET? What was your score? Did it focus on any particular types of questions for the Math etc..?
Thanks!

It was easier than the NET because you could use a calculator on the Math. It was the same type of questions, decimals, percents, fractions, and basic algebra. The scores are by subject, but I scored in the 90's on all the areas. I did not take it for the MCCDNP, I took it for CAC, even though I went to Gateway in the end. I thought it was easy.

I took it at Gateway last month and scored in the 90's. We didn't have to do the biology or chemistry portions. I've been out of school for decades and other than paging through the "evolve reach exam preparation guide" pretty much took it cold.
The best advice is to take your time, read the questions a couple of times before hitting "enter", because you can't go back if you change your mind about an answer.

I just took it today and it was more user friendly than the NET. I was able to use the calculator and scrap paper. The study guide helped me out on all the subjects except the vocabulary but that section was the least of my worries :-) I received an 84 on the reading, 88 on the math, 88 on grammar and 86 on the vocab.. Those were the only sections required and I took it at Glendale Community College.

Hi,
Do we get same questions as in the study guide.I am also preparing for HESI
The math and reading sections were similar, the grammar and vocab didn't seem too similar to what I studied in the guide. But at the same time I mainly studied the math section because that was the only section I worried about.
Can I know the exact name of the study guide and how many pages the study guide has.I bought one in barnes and nobles its name is
Evolve reach Admission Assesment review. Is this the book I need to study or a different one.and which book, will anyone suggests for vocabulary and grammar. Please help I am thinking to take the exam next week.
What type of vocabulary do we get any examples?
That book you brought from Border's is the study guide I had. I also had a Kaplan Math for nurses book that I also bought from Borders. The vocab terms in the study guide gave you an idea of what's on the test but of course those words won't be on there. I would suggest a medical terminology book, not necessarily buying one but checking one out in the libarary. There were about 51 vocab words but like I said, it's not as bad as you think. If you read the sentence you can do a process of elimination of choosing the correct word.

You really can't study for the vocab and grammar - the questions in the study guide aren't in the test. Relax, it's much easier than it sounds. I spent 2 hrs and 15 minutes on the test combined - probably 1.5 hours of that was math, and that's only because I was double-reading and double calculating everything.
The ISBN # for the study guide is
978-1-4160-5635-5
160 pages .
