WOW!! waiting for this to finally get started is like waiting to give birth!

Took net in Dec., Interviewed in Feb., Notified acceptance in April, Got letter today, that orientation is July 25th, First day of class is August 15th, Last day will be August 7th 2009.

That is like 9 months of prep work, and patiently waiting. But now I feel like I'm over the hump and Aug. is fast approaching and I can't wait. I'm sure that the year will go by fast, and this time next year I will be setting here waiting for last few weeks before graduation to be over!!

I will be attending a local vo tech school, full time days 8:00-3:30, clinicals will be in the early mornings and at night.

So whats your story??

I'll be starting too in August, good luck to all and we must keep each other posted and how things are going =)

good luck ALL!!!

I am starting on August 7th - I can't wait. These last few weeks are killing me. :typing

Count me in. I am starting August 27th. My orientation is August 11th.

I am pretty excited but really nervous too. I start the day after my little girl starts kindergarden. I have waited 12 years, since the birth of my son, to have some alone time while the kids are at school. I only have 1 day....LOL. :lol2:

If anyone else is in PA and going to the Wilkes-Barre Technical school I would love to hear from you.

Hey I'm going to school in Sunbury! I 'm the only one on the boards that's going to school there. yay we're close to each other! I start on the 25th

-nervous face-

I am starting the LPN program at CCBC in Dundalk MD Sept.2. At orientation we were told only 18 out of 38 students graduated last year. Is this unusual or the norm? The statistics made me nervous. Maybe hard work is not enough. I failed a clinical day in the RN program last year and I withdrew, because if you fail 2 you fail the semester and your out of the program. I am trying to learn frm my mistakes, but one of the tutors last year told us the program is designed to eliminate.I am not ready to give up.Anyone with simular stories or advise?

I too am starting the LPN program on August 18. Soooo nervous, but exited that the time is finally here. I have waited 4 long years. I am 30 years old and married with a 3 year old and a 6 year old. So needless to say my life is going to be a little hectic for the next year. Anyone from Northern Illinois? Good luck to everyone!!!!!!!

I am also starting August 18 and am in Northern Illinois. nbarcai, are you attending Rock Valley? If so, have you already done orientation? I will do orientation August 1.

Hi Dod0303, I will be attending Sauk Valley. My orientation was back in July and they basically just went over the student handbook. What town do you live in? I'm in Oregon

nbarcai,

I'm in Rockford and attending RVC. If I hadn't got into the LPN program, I was going to apply to the ADN program. I had been rejected because my A & P wasn't finished till the end of May. But they had opened up a few more spots and called me 2 weeks ago to see if I was still interested. Yeah, so I'm in the LPN starting August 18 with my orientation on August 1. They will tell me then what time my classes will be etc. I will do the bridge into RN after. I may take a year to do the bridge classes and work at the same time. I have 3 children (16, 15, & 12) who are in private school and budget-wise I'll need to work. God is good and provides all things in the right timing.

I look forward to hearing more from you. It will be interesting to compare RVC's program with Sauk Valley's. What do you plan to do when you finish?

I am currently taking a cna class , and will also be taking a tabe test for LPN class that starts July 2009 ...yea ,it a ways away. But reading the post , I guess I will need all that time =/. I hope I can pass the entrance math /algebra for lpn though...Im really nervous , But refuse to give up .Best wishes all =]

The best study guide for the math is the TABE study guide. Don't waste your money on those so called "secrets to passing the ____ guide!" Myself and several others felt it was a waste of $ and time. For me the Tabe was actually harder than the NET. I spent a few weeks going through the Tabe guide book and doing every assignment in order from the beginning. It was a great help and I scored the highest you could get; so I think if you did the same you'll be fine. Especially since you have a year yet.

I was lucky; it only took me two weeks for the entire process to get accepted into school. I took the TABE one day, the NET the next day, my drug test and application the following day. I was interviewed two weeks later and got my acceptance letter five days after that. (I think it was because I procratinated and put it all off until the last minute). I start Aug. 18 and graduate July 21st.

Good luck to all of you.:heartbeat

The school that I want in starts in January 2009....I took my test in March, interviewed in June and waiting to see if I was excepted....It feels like it has taken forever.......I hope you have a great first day..:yeah:

I have orientation on the 8th of Aug and I start on the 11th of Aug. I am excited and scared at the same time.
