Who is hiring new grads in Virginia??????

I recently graduated in May, and passed the NCLEX about a month ago. I have applied anywhere, but cannot find a job. What hospitals in VA are hiring new grads???

yes in some instances they will use there own graduates

Does any one know of any hospitals in the Northern Virginia area that is hiring right now????? I am a new graduate RN!!!!! Please help!!

I am a newly licensed RN and I am having a really hard time finding a job. ALL the hospitals that I have contacted from Richmond all the way up to Baltimore are not hiring new grads at this time!!!! I am losing HOPE and have resorted to working at a bank to make a living. I NEED HELP!!!!! :uhoh3::crying2:

Keep on truckin'! I'm in the Baltimore area and graduate in December. The hospital I currently work at as a PCT/CNA did a tuition/work program. I owe them 3 years so far, will be 4 in a week or so and they hired 7 people in the last 6 months. So when I graduate in December I'll have all the May grads from this year, the December grads from this year and not just this area but from VA to PA as well. From what I've read, what we're going through is country wide and we're all basically in for one long fight. Though I do know a girl who has her year in at my hospital and is leaving to go to a PCP and do that. Have you checked doctor offices in your area?

Yes! I have been checking doctor's offices too and they don't want new grads. I think i will be stuck at this bank FOREVER!!!

Yes try Spotsylvania Medical Center. This hospital is brand new. I believe they opened this pass June. Good luck.

Did you also try HCA and or Bon Secours hospitals?

Don't wait until licensure to apply for a job! Start applying 6 months before graduation.

bon secours hampton roads have a new graduate program for RNs. I currently work there as a nurse extern and they told me that they hire new grads all year round and are the only hospital system who currently hires a large amount of grads. They suggest that I apply for this 3-4 months before I graduate in Dec.

I got blown off by Bon Secours so many times that I wanted a straight answer from someone. I kept bugging the new graduate nurse recruiter who refused to give me feedback on my resume and/or application. After a week or so, I finally got her to admit that the rate in which they hire new grads is cyclical. For instance, they may have the "new grad" posting year round, but they only hire at certain times which coincide with orientation or training dates. She also stated that as of recent, they lack the preceptors needed to do said training.

Did you also try HCA and or Bon Secours hospitals?

I applied to a couple of HCA hospitals and I have gotten nothing. Bon Secours, I am going to have to look into to see if I have applied with them too. Thanks!

I just got hired as a new grad at CHKD... They hire new grads year round also, if you are interested in Pedi.
