Who did CES and how long did it take?

Published

Just wondering who applied for thE CES of CGFNS and how long did it really took?

How about those who applied for New MExico and Vermont (No CGFNS service involvement); how long did it took?

THis is for the benefit of those about to apply on states other than NY and CA.

Hope someone shares their experience.

Hi ! It took about 3 months to receive CES . But , you all have to take into consideration that I had a really hard time to have the documents sent to Philadelphia from my nursing school ( in Romania ) . After that I applied to AZ Board of Nursing and it took only a month until I received the ATT for NCLEX .

I applied for the CES in March. The last of my documents arrived at CGFNS on May 17th. They told me they do not even start reviewing until they have had the entire file for 5 weeks (although this may be crap, as noone there ever seems to know what they are talking about, including the supervisors..!). I finally received the CES report at the start of September, it was dated August 3 - not sure on the mailing holdup, since my mail between Australia and US generally only takes a few days.

So application - 7 March 06, issuance of CES 3 August 06.

has anyone tried applying for ces in the state of nevada?

tnx

I applied for the CES last May of this year and i got the result in 2 months. This is simply because CGFNS already have my documents.I'm not sure if it works the same for others who will go through CGFNS the first time.

ces reports are not state specific, there is only one done by cgfns, just like there is only one nclex-rn exam. they are not different for each state.

Did you check to see the date on the envelope and where it was sent from? Overseas, many times they are routed thru Europe first..............and take a few weeks to get there. They drop ship them there, and they go on. SE Asia all goes thru Europe first............Australia probably does as well.

My cousin and I did CES. She received her report after six weeks while mine is still "ready for review" after 3 months. We processed our papers together and cgfns received all of our documents at the same time. I've called them several times already and they apologize for the inconvenience. I guess the 6-8 weeks processing time stated on their website works for some and not for others. Who knows with cgfns.

I really wonder who we could complain about the lack of service from CGFNS. We pay them a LOT of money for their tasks, and they are at best clueless and at worst rude when you call up to ask them something. I have heard a lot of "I wouldn't know, Ma'am" from them when asking basic questions about my file.

Are they contracted by the government? Who polices their performance?

CGFNS has already issued a statement that they will not issue a CES report to those that took the NLE exam, or the VSC, or even permit a nurse to take the CGFNS exam, until there is a retake of that exam by the nurse.

Look for it on the Philippine Forum.

There are too many legal issues that have arisen because of that exam. I would focus on a retake, before anything else. Especially with the retrogression kicking in over the next few weeks.
